Wow. Out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks. Hate isn't exactly the road to the "pearly gates" either... So to clarify, a money monger is someone who gives 90% of their income away to help others less fortunate?

And the few texts she did throw out aren't even accurate. God doesn't say in Leviticus 19 that the one who tattoo's himself is to be put to death. Leviticus 11 states the kosher diet. You were unclean to eat non-kosher. You weren't put to death.

Steve, Those were rhetorical questions- meant for stating a point. I'm not going to count but Jesus touched a lot of people rendering him ceremonially unclean. That doesn't make him a sinner because then he couldn't be the unblemished lamb

And if you really, really want to understand it, find good teaching that doesn't rely on what Western theology has said but take it back to it's Jewish roots. Find out what it meant to the people it was originally addressed to. The more things change, the more they stay the same...

Hubert does bring up a good point about obedience to laws, though Rick was talking about obedience to certain divisions within the law.

Hubert, Who said eating fish, pork, etc. is a sin? Non-kosher food made you "unclean" but that didn't mean you had sinned. It made you unclean to touch someone who had leprosy. How many times did Jesus touch a leper? Does that mean he was a sinner?
